best convertible strollers

i think the best part about the stroller market today is that you have so many options, and there are some great choices for convertible strollers. i love the fact that there are strollers that will hold a bassinet so your baby can lay down, but also a car seat; and can change into normal upright strollers when your baby can sit.

the two "top of the line" convertible strollers are the peg perego skate and the bugaboo chameleon.

the peg, pictured below, is a full size convertible stroller.

the bugaboo, below, is also full size but is a lighter weight. it is slightly more expensive than the peg.

the maxi cosi foray is another convertible option, but at about half the price of the peg or the chameleon.

from across the pond comes the silver cross brand. historically, this company made prams - currently, their balmoral pram is by appointment to her majesty - but they have modern prams and strollers that are surprisingly versatile.

shown below is their mayfair stroller. this seat reclines into a bed; it just does not hold an infant car seat as well. this stroller has a ton of storage space.

i do know lots of moms who just can't decide if a stroller like this is right for them, so they buy the graco snugrider, which fits an infant car seat, and use that until their baby is big enough for a regular, upright stroller.

moms, what do you use? have you used the brands above? if so, what are your pros and cons? do you recommend this type of stroller?
